This setting optimized the IP MTU value so that there is reduced packet fragmentation when using a broadband connection with PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet).

Open your registry and find the key below.

Create a new String value, or modify the existing value called 'IPMTU' using the settings below.

Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.

IPMTU	REG_SZ	1492
